Dr. Andrea Anthony, chief personnel officer for Rutherford County Schools, was given the annual Achievement Award by the Rutherford Education Association.
"Dr. Anthony has supported REA for many years," REA stated as part of the award, "and we appreciate all the support even at times when you had to remain impartial. We thank you for your commitment and dedication to the teachers and children of Rutherford County, for uplifting the cause of public education, and for representing your profession with distinction on the local, state, and national levels. Thank you for your tireless efforts this year as we worked on the MOU."
The REA recognized Anthony at a reception Tuesday evening in Murfreesboro.
