Owen Mahoney — fourth grader at Lascassas Elementary School — recently had the opportunity to be principal for a day.

Mahoney won the opportunity at the school’s fall festival last year.

He started his day with a Starbucks iced chai tea latte while at Mr. Uptain’s desk.

Mahoney learned all about Uptain’s daily duties throughout the day.

One of Mahoney’s first orders was to issue extra recess for his class for the day.

Mahoney pulled the fire alarm and was able to help the school conduct a successful fire drill.

After a quick Chick-fil-A lunch, Mahoney was back to the school’s golf cart to ensure the building grounds were safe.

Congratulations to Owen Mahoney for a job well done.
